The Crane Center for Early Childhood Research and Policy is seeking a post-doctoral scholar to start summer of 2021 for a newly funded study of the influence of speech-language therapists’ talk during therapy sessions on the language growth in children with developmental language disorder (DLD). The study employs state-of-the-art sensing technologies to therapy sessions to derive estimates therapist talk characteristics and statistical methods to measure children’s language growth over time. We seek an applicant with skills in observational methods, quantitative statistics, language transcription, and research dissemination.
